Releive Stress By Following These 10 Steps

How many of us have stress in our lives? All of us can answer yes to that question. In this article 10 simple steps are listed to help us relieve stress from our lives.

  1. Put on some classical music. Playing music has a positive effect on the brain and body, been proven to lower blood pressure, reduce cortisol - a hormone associated with stress.
  2. Call a good friend to discuss some of the things going on in your life. Hearing a friends voice can help put things in perspective for you at the time.
  3. Talk yourself through it and listen and trust your instinct. Listening and talking to yourself can help you get through whatever might be going on at the moment.
  4. Eat right. Stress levels an a proper diet go hand in hand. When we are stressed we tend to eat foods that are not good for us. So even if your stress eat what is good for you.
  5. Take a deep breathe and try to regroup yourself. Deep breathing oxgenates your blood, helps center your body and helps clear your mind.
  6. Have a good laugh. Laughter releases endorphins that tend to improve your mood and makes you feel better.
  7. Try some green tea which contains healthy antioxidants and theanine - an amino acid that has a calming effect on the nervous system.
  8. Maybe think about joining a yoga or a mediation class. Joining one of these can help prevent stress from becoming a problem or show you how to deal with stress better.
  9. Get up and exercise for a few minutes or so. Walking or stretching during a break can help with the stress you are facing. Getting your blood moving can improve your mood.
  10. Make sure that you are getting a good nights sleep. Seven to eight hours of sleep is recommended. Getting the proper amount of sleep can be the most important one of the steps listed .

Relieving stress can be relieved by different people in many different ways. I hope that some or all of these steps can help you relieve some of the stress that you are facing in your daily life. Hope that you will be stress free soon.

Great list of stress busters! I find that listening to classic country music does me more good than classical music...but I know that many people that swear on classical music for stress relief..

For some reason, "Purple Haze" or "The Cult of Personality" help me more with stress than Chopin. Don't get me wrong, Chopin is one of my faves. However, I do best with songs that get my adrenaline pumping. Normal? I think not, but it works for me.
